Baht’atters Looking to Extend Unbeaten Run Against Ashton Town

Ilkley will be aiming to continue their fine form when they host struggling Ashton Town at the MPM Stadium this Saturday, writes Evan Seaman.

Sam Dexter’s side currently boast an impressive goalscoring record in their last six games, scoring 15 goals, including the 6-0 win against Harrogate Railway in the cup, whilst conceding just six.

The Baht’atters will be hoping for another strong performance from skipper Harry Brown as his goal last Saturday helped them to a 2-1 victory against Daisy Hill. The other goal was courtesy of striker Kevin Gonzalez.

Whereas for Ashton, they will be hoping to spark a change in fortune as they currently sit bottom of the table on just five points while conceding 40 goals already.

However, if one man is to help them to get three points at the weekend then it could be Conor Ready who is their current top goal scorer on four goals.

In the reverse fixture, Ilkley inflicted Ashton’s biggest defeat so far this campaign as Sam Dexter’s side beat them 4-1 on the 3rd of September, so Kevin Towey’s team will be hoping to avoid a repeat of that result.
